The Penrith City Sub-Branch of the National Servicemen’s Association of Australia meets 10.30am on the 3rd Sunday each month at the Penrith RSL club in the Sub-Branch meeting room. Douglas William Knaggs

Douglas Knaggs passed away on Sunday 26 July 2015 at 82 years of age.  He served in the CMF from 31 October 1941 to 4 October 1942 transferring to the AIF from 5 October 1942 to 17 March 1944.  He saw operational service in the Darwin area from 31 August 1942 to 1 March 1944. [...]

Horace Wilfred Rogers

Horace Wilfred Roger (01/03/1925 - 09/07/2015) passed away last Thursday.  He served with the RAAF from 18 May 1943 to 17 April 1946.  He was based at various locations around Australia.  He was awarded the War Medal 1939-45, Australia Service Medal 1939-45 and the General Service Badge. Evelyn Fawkes

For those lucky enough to have been in Melbourne recently you may have visited the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show where as part of the Phillip Johnson Landscape, the 5000 Poppy project was incorporated.
